From Surviving to Thriving

Starting out in early childhood education can be exciting and rewarding, but it can also be incredibly overwhelming. You finish your studies with plenty of theory, but suddenly you are part of a real teaching team, building relationships with whānau, responding to children in the moment, contributing to planning and assessment, navigating different personalities and trying to work out whether you are actually doing a good job. This webinar is about the things that are not always taught in class. It is designed to help newer ECE professionals recognise the strengths they already bring, build confidence in their practice and develop their own professional voice. It should be practical, supportive and honest. It is not about becoming the perfect teacher. It is about becoming a confident, reflective teacher who is comfortable continuing to learn.
